August 31, 2015 - Dorene DiNaro

Symposium save the date cardRegistration is now open for the 2015 New Mexico Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NMASAP) Symposium:Rethinking Diversity: Inclusive Engagement Practices, which will be held on Oct. 8-9 at the Student Union Building.  The theme, and the symposium as a whole, is meant to challenge how student affairs professionals think about diversity, talk about it, and approach it.  The symposium is geared toward student affairs professionals, however, anyone can attend, and the university community as a whole can benefit from the sessions.

The organizing committee hopes that the symposium will transform attendees’ understandings of diverse communities, draw attention to possible gaps between their own intentions and impacts, and encourage a sharing of knowledge, resources, and practices to continue progress towards an inclusive experience for higher education students in our region.

NMASAP was established to bring together student affairs professionals from New Mexico’s institutions of post-secondary education in order to improve communication, promote collaboration, and to provide an avenue to disseminate information pertinent to student success.

This year, for the first time, staff can also use their tuition remission benefit as payment.  Please visit the NMASAP website for more information or to register for this symposium.
