Cheo photoDr. Eliseo “Cheo” Torres is pleased to announce the names of the 2017 Student Affairs Fellows who will begin their 15-month term this month.  They are:  Shannon Carr, research scientist with the Center for Education Policy Research; Mary Jane Lueras, administrative assistant with Student Affairs STEM programs; Matthew Lumpp, student activities specialist with the Student Activities Center; and Brandi Stone, senior student advisor for African American Student Services.

The Student Affairs fellows program began in 1999 and has grown over the years—to date over 100 people have participated.

This program provides leadership experiences not only for Student Affairs employees, but also for the overall University through the opportunity to assist on specific projects as determined by the Vice President of Student Affairs during a 15-month term. Benefits include networking with Student Affairs directors and departments as well as exposure to university-wide committees and meetings.
