NMASAP Hosts Annual Symposium

The New Mexico Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NMASAP) will hold its statewide symposium on Thursday, Nov. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, Nov. 11. from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the UNM Student Union Ballrooms. 

The theme of this year’s symposium, Reimaging Student Affairs features subjects addressing the diverse needs of today’s college student.  Topics include inspiring creativity, building strategic collaborations, motiving change through positive students, taking a holistic approach to serving students, and crafting a vision for the future of Student Affairs.

Keynote speakers include David Longanecker, president of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE); Ann Rhoades, MBA, President of People Ink, a human resources consulting company; and NM Senator Michael S. Sanchez, Senate Majority Leader and original sponsor of the state lottery scholarship fund.
