Student Affairs Annual Holiday Giving Drive to Benefit CLNKids

Give Help Feel Good logoThe Division of Student Affairs will once again be spearheading a holiday giving drive to help those less fortunate in our community.  This year we will be collecting donations for CLNKids (formerly Cuidando los Ninos) from December 3-17 at the following donation sites:

  • Office of Student Affairs, Scholes Hall Room 229
  • Career Services Office, University Advisement and Enrichment Center, 2nd Floor
  • UNM Children's Campus, Main Lobby
  • Recreational Services, Johnson Center, Main Lobby
  • Student Health and Counseling, Main Lobby

Some of the items on their wish list include:

  • baby fruit, baby cereal, sipi cups
  • peanut butter, canned fruits & vegetables
  • rice, pasta, beans
  • diapers (size 4&5)
  • boys & girls underwear (size 2T-3T)
  • construction paper, crayons, glue, tape
  • soft plush toys, books
  • winter gloves (adult & child sizes)
  • hygiene kits (shampoo, conditioner, women's deodorant, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion)
  • cash donations

CLNKids is a 501(c)(3) committed to ending child homelessness.  It was created in 1988 out of a grass-roots volunteer effort to help end homelessness for families in Albuquerque through a model which focuses on providing homeless children with critical early childhood development and providing their parents with educational resources tp put them on the path to self-sufficiency.  For more information on their organization, please visit http:clnkids.org.  For more information on the Student Affairs Holiday Giving Drive, please contact Dorene DiNaro at 277-5299 or ddinaro@unm.edu
