DOS to Host 5th Alternative Spring Break in New Orleans

The UNM Dean of Students Office will host the fifth annual “Alternative Spring Break” (ASB) trip for students Sunday, March 8 through Friday, March 13, 2015. UNM students will travel to New Orleans, LA to assist Camp Restore, a nonprofit organization, with several community-based projects for Hurricane Katrina survivors.

Students who are interested in participating must submit an application and a program fee of $540.00 to go on the trip. The first payment of $180.00 and application is due by January 20, 2015 at 5 p.m. to the Dean of Students Office. The fee includes airfare, lodging, meals, transportation and some entertainment during the trip. Students must be currently enrolled with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Camp Restore is a nonprofit organization that partners with over 50 local nonprofit organizations to match volunteers with construction and community projects.
