Student Affairs to Honor Louie Award Winners at Annual Ceremony
April 27, 2015 - Dorene DiNaro
This Wednesday, April 29 at 3:30 p.m. in the SUB Ballroom B, the Division of Student Affairs will honor its best and brightest at the annual Louie awards ceremony. This year attendees will be treated to a Carnival themed “Carnival de Lobo Louie” complete with masks and other goodies.
Winners of the Student Affairs Division-only student employee of the year, student community service, staff employee of the year, and fellow of the year awards, along with the University-wide outstanding student service provider of the year award will be announced at the ceremony. Each award recipient is given a golden Louie, and monetary award.
The Student Affairs fellows are responsible for coordinating the ceremony every year, and winners are selected based on their service within the Division and their contributions to improving the lives of students at the University. The outstanding student service provider is a university-wide award open to anyone working at UNM.
“This is a great way to honor our employees, which includes students, faculty and staff, for their work and dedication to our Division and the University throughout the year,” says Dr. Eliseo Torres, Vice President for Student Affairs. “Every year, the Student Affairs fellows work very hard to make sure this ceremony is a memorable experience for everyone involved.”
