African American Student Services Celebrates Black History Month

Black History Month imageFebruary 1 marks the beginning of Black History month and UNM’s African American Student Services is kicking off the month with a flag raising ceremony on Monday, Feb. 1 outside the south side of Scholes Hall. The entire month is filled with several events and talks and movies on subjects including identity and culture.  Please watch the video in which Dr. Eliseo Torres had a chance to sit down and talk with Scott Carreathers, director of UNM African American Student Services about what Black History Month means for AASS and some of the initiatives that are connected with the celebration.
