Johnson Center Not Opening for Several Weeks
June 4, 2020 - Dorene DiNaro
In accordance with the State of New Mexico’s latest public health orders and social distancing guidelines, gyms and pools in New Mexico are allowed to open at 50% capacity. UNM Johnson Center and Seidler natatorium, however, will NOT open for several more weeks due to completion of construction and the University’s response to COVID-19.
During the next several weeks, construction crews will be putting the finishing touches on the building. Johnson Center staff will be working to ensure that the gym and pools are ready and compliant with current health and COVID-19 standards.
We appreciate your patience during this time. We are excited for the return of our Lobos and will keep you updated on a firm opening date for Johnson Center and Seidler natatorium in the future.
