Assessment
Assessment in the Division of Student Affairs
At The University of New Mexico, the Division of Student Affairs is committed to advancing student development and success, which includes engagement in co-curricular assessment practices.
We focus on enhancing operational effectiveness and contributing to co-curricular student learning through annual assessment projects and participation in comprehensive program reviews utilizing the Council for the Advancement of Standards (CAS) functional area and general standards.
The Division of Student Affairs aims to foster a culture of data-informed continuous improvement among all student affairs units by:
- Coordinating divisional assessment activities and CAS program reviews
- Providing guidance and support on unit-level student affairs assessment projects, with an emphasis on meeting the unique needs of units
- Offering trainings, workshops, drop-in support, and online educational resources that promote effective strategies for planning, implementing, documenting, analyzing, and closing the loop on student affairs assessment
- Collaborating with key campus partners to support institutional assessment efforts
