Celebrate Kindness with Student Affairs

It’s almost February and that means the countdown to BeKind UNM week begins! We are pleased to announce that our celebration will be in person this year, unless COVID derails us.
BeKind UNM week, Feb. 14-18, kicks off with the Teddy Bear Toss at the Men’s Lobo basketball game on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a new stuffed animal to toss onto the court during half-time to benefit the Albuquerque Police Department and the Albuquerque Fire and Rescue. The bears are used by officers to give to children in traumatic situations.
We will also host the Kindness Carnival on Thursday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SUB Ballroom A. We will be collecting food and toiletry donations for the Lobo Food Pantry at the Carnival. Participants who bring a donation will be given a raffle ticket and be entered into our grand prize drawing. Winners will be eligible to win one of several great prizes including a UNM one-month parking permit, $25 gift card to the UNM Bookstore, 1 Lobo Tune-Up at the Lobo Bike Shop, 1 W.O.W Fitness Schedule Pass for the semester, UNM swag, and more prizes being added!
