UNM Diplomat in Residence, Antoinette Hurtado

Antoinette Hurtado currently serves as the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomat in Residence (DIR) covering the Southwest region of New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. She chose this profession after spending her entire career mentoring and coaching students and young professionals to pursue and realize their dreams.  She says that her current position gives her a bigger-scale opportunity to highlight new opportunities for students and share her own experiences about working for the State Department.

DOE Selects UNMCC for a CCAMPIS Grant with a Significant Funding Increase

The Department of Education (DOE) has awarded the University of New Mexico Children’s Campus a four-year, $4 million Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) grant—marking a substantial increase from the program's previous CCAMPIS awards. The CCAMPIS grant supports the participation of low-income parents in postsecondary education.
