Student Spotlight TRIO Works

Jasmine was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She will be graduating from the University of New Mexico in December of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and two minors in Native American Studies and Communications. Jasmine was a part of the UNM Upward Bound program during high school as a low-income student. And is still a part of the TRiO family, working with the UNM Upward Bound program as an educational mentor/student. She plans on continuing her education through UNM with the Native American Studies Graduate Program in the Fall of 2022 and hopes to use her knowledge and education to help Native high school students recognize their academic potential to graduate high school and get into college.
