UNM 5K Commuter Club Celebrates Anniversary

Last April, UNM Recreational Services Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) launched the UNM 5K Commuter Club in conjunction with Student Affairs, the Provost’s Office and Parking Transportation. The program was created to help UNM meet its 2040 sustainability goal. This year, the UNM 5K Commuter Club will celebrate its first year anniversary at the UNM Sustainability Expo on Thursday, April 25 from 10:30 a.m. to:30 p.m. on Cornell Mall where they will offer free bike diagnostics, chain cleaning, and help registering for the club.
Southwest Airlines Helped El Puente Research Fellows take Experiential Learning to New Heights

For the first time in El Puente’s nine-year graduate school experiential trip history, students were able to trade their 8-hour drive for a one-hour plane ride thanks to the generosity of Southwest Airlines. The airline donated 34 e-tickets valued at over $13K to the program allowing them to save time while taking their graduate school journey to new heights.

That’s the magic of Club Sports at UNM. Hosted under the multi-faceted UNM Recreational Services, Club Sports offers competitive or recreational options for students who want to continue in or try athletics.
UNM to Honor Lobos at Student Memorial Ceremony

The University of New Mexico community will take time to remember and celebrate the lives of Lobos who passed away during the last year. A Student Memorial Ceremony will be held on Monday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building, Ballroom C.

The University of New Mexico, however, is emphasizing that importance with events this week and beyond from March 25 to 29.
