New Mexico Recognizes November as National Career Development Month

New Mexico Governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham and Secretary of State, Maggie Toulouse Oliver, recently officially proclaimed November as National Career Development Month. The “National Career Development Month” proclamation highlights the importance of nurturing professional growth and prioritizing lifelong career development and professional empowerment for our state’s residents.
Little Lobo Holiday Wish Fund

For the second year, the Dean of Students Office in collaboration with the UNM Children’s Campus and Division of Student Affairs is encouraging the campus community to come together and make the season a little brighter for our students who are parents of young children through the Little Lobo Holiday Wish Fund (LLHWF).
Daily Lobo Wins Four New Mexico Press Association Awards

The Daily Lobo won first and second place for investigative reporting. The awards were for coverage on the University of New Mexico Police Department’s lack of body cameras, as well as coverage on UNM's noncompliance with a federal crime transparency law. Both stories were written by now-editors Lily Alexander and Lauren Lifke.

Celebrate American Indian Heritage Month with AISS

UNM’s American Indian Student Services, Native American Studies, Center for Native American Health, and several chartered student organizations have collaborated to engage the university community in learning and discovering more about the Indigenous experience and perspective. The entire campus community is invited to attend and participate in a variety of public and cost-free educational, social, cultural, and artistic programming initiatives throughout the month of November.
