Nominations Sought for the Fall 2021 Lucy Awards

Know an outstanding director in Student Affairs who leads the pack with demonstrated strong leadership skills? How about an employee in Student Affairs who is always performing above and beyond their capabilities? A student employee in Student Affairs who takes the extra initiative on any given task? Or maybe a Student Affairs department that displays extraordinary integrity and generosity towards their team? Why not nominate then for a 2021 Fall Lucy Award?
We are once again pleased to host the Lucy Awards. This will will be an in-room/on-Zoom celebration for members of the Student Affairs team who go the extra mile.
Nominations are only for employees in the Division of Student Affairs in the following categories:
• Leader of the Pack Director’s Award
• Exemplary Pack Member Employee Award
• Star Lobo Student Employee Award
• Extraordinary Pack Department Award
Based on the following criteria:
Leader of the Pack Director’s Award
The Leader of the Pack award is given to the director who constantly demonstrates outstanding leadership skills. The award reflects the dedication of the director towards improving the morale of their employees by going above and beyond the call of duty. This director ensures that the needs of their employees are met and displays a unique ability to improve the lives of our students.
Exemplary Pack Member Employee Award
The Exemplary Pack Member award to given to those Student Affairs Employees who perform above and beyond their capabilities. Those extra motivated employees who have taken on additional duties and created new initiatives to ensure that their departments maintain productivity and efficiency. These employees consistently go the extra mile no matter what the situation is.
Star Lobo Student Employee Award
The Star Lobo award is for those student employees who display improvement and take extra initiative in their work. These employees are the staff who make our departments run smoother with their work ethic, professionalism and attention to detail. These star Lobos do more than expected because they see the importance of their role in our departments.
Outstanding Pack Department Award
The Outstanding Pack award is given to departments who display extraordinary integrity and generosity towards their team members, leadership and other departments. This team faces problems head on with confidence and competence. This award is for departments whose team efforts have kept their departments afloat no matter what is thrown their way. These departments consistently improve the lives of our students.
Lucy winners will be determined by a committee made up of UNM employees and past Lucy winners.
Winners will receive swag and will be recognized at a ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at a special Division of Student Affairs meeting and ceremony,
The Lucys nomination form will be open through Friday, Nov 19.
